About Me

Thank you so much for stopping by my page! Whether you're just browsing, or if you're considering me for your wedding or photoshoot, I appreciate you taking a look around!

I'm Anya, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Bridgend, South Wales, and also in Swindon, Wiltshire. I live in Bridgend after first moving to Wales in 2011 for university and sticking around after falling in love with the place! I am also very fortunate to have family based in Swindon, meaning I can also use that as a base to work from and have enjoyed shooting several weddings in the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire areas! I've been as far North as Sheffield, and West as Carmarthen, as well as to Bristol, Bath, and all places in-between!

As part of the 'Anya Rebecca Photography' team there's actually two of us. Most of my couples will have the bonus of my partner, Ben, being at your special day or helping out on a shoot. To me his presence is invaluable, helping to keep track of all my gear, helping round up guests for the group shots, scouting out certain locations and having a great creative eye, and just generally being there for moral support.

I grew up with a love of photography, taking photos of everything and everyone, choosing to study Photography at college, and then going to university to do something completely different! I have a BA(Hons) degree in Events Management, which turns out is actually quite handy to have at weddings.

I actually fell into wedding photography completely by accident and promptly fell in love with the atmosphere and creativity I see at each and every wedding. I am privileged to be involved in each couple's wedding day, as each is so unique and special. Shooting your wedding day is more than just a job to me - I am as invested in your photos as you are (ask Ben, he'll happily regale you with tales of late nights and skipped meals because I'm too absorbed in getting your editing done and seeing the finished photos!)

Even when I step away from your weddings and family shoots, I spend my spare time shooting landscapes and wildlife, which if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you've undoubtedly already noticed, and if you don't, you can see that work here. With living in Wales, I'm incredibly lucky to have some amazing places to explore and wildlife to see right on my doorstep. In fact, the majority of my holidays are in Wales because there's still so much here for me to explore!

When it comes to shooting your weddings, we love them all! The hotel weddings, the coastal, barns, farms, castles, registry offices, town centre, rural, alternative, gothic, traditional, rustic, classic, etc. My first ever wedding involved a Halloween theme, with a black and orange colour scheme, and the bride in a black dress. As someone with a little emo heart, I love an alternative wedding! So no matter how weird and whacky, or traditional and elegant, I love them all!
