FAQ

FAQ

What areas do you cover?

A.I will travel just about anywhere to shoot a wedding. I live in Bridgend and have family in Swindon, which enables me to cover weddings across most of Southeast Wales and through into Wiltshire without any additional travel expenses. I am able to cover further afield, I just add the travel expenses onto the photography package. I've been from Sheffield to Bristol, and Bath to Camarthenshire.

What is your style?

A.I aim to be completely unobstrusive and discreet when photographing your day, to the point where couples regularly tell me afterwards that they didn't even notice I was there, which allows me to capture your day as it happens completely naturally and with no forced smiles. There will be a brief period where we do the slightly more posed group shots, but this normally takes no more than 20-30 minutes.

How long do you stay on our wedding day?

A.Each package specifies the number of hours included, and for full day packages normally these hours should be sufficient to cover from bridal prep to after the first dance. Obviously, there is no one size fits all when it comes to weddings so I'm always flexible when it comes to timings and if I have to stay a bit later then that's fine. If you know you'll need more hours in advance, I offer extra hours of coverage at a set rate.
Don't worry if things are running late, I won't just get up and leave once my allocated hours are up. I will stay and make sure to capture everything we've discussed in advance! Sometimes these things do happen. I may have to invoice for the extra time if the added time required exceeds a set duration.

How many photos will we get?

A.Honestly, there is no set amount. I don't limit the number of photos I give you, and I also don't include photos that I don't believe are at the standard they should be just to hit a specified target. Each wedding is different - for a wedding that is jam packed with activities and moments to photograph you'll likely have more photos than the 'average'.
That being said, for a full day you can normally expect anywhere from 400-700 photos.

Can we meet you before booking?

A.Sure, let's talk! Finding the right photographer for your wedding is so important, so I fully encourage meeting face to face before you book with me! There is absolutely no obligation or assumption that you're going to book just because we're meeting, so please don't feel that way! If you're local to Bridgend then get in touch and let's meet for a coffee (or in my case, juice, because yes, I'm one of those people who hates tea and coffee...). If you live further afield and a face to face is a little more difficult then that's no problem! Thanks to the power of technology we can still chat through video call!

How does your payment process work?

A.To secure your date I take a 30% booking fee via BACs payment. Once that has been paid, that date is now in my diary and closed to any other booking requests. The final 70% is due 2 weeks before the wedding.

Are the number of pre-wedding consultations we can have with you limited?

A.Not at all. If there's stuff you want to discuss, I'm happy to catch up with you to go over it. Let's meet at your venue, coffee shop, or I'll even come to your home. Wherever is easiest for you.

Will our photos be edited?

A.Every photo you receive will have been edited, which is why I ask that you please don't put any filters on your photos if you upload them to social media. A selection of your photos will also be converted to black and white. If there's a photo that hasn't been provided in black and white that you'd really love to be, then just let me know and I'll happily do that edit for you!

How long until we get our photos back?

A.I aim to get your photos back to you within 4-6 weeks. Depending on the time of year and how busy I am, it could be a little longer than this, but this is very rare as I know you're eagerly awaiting your photos!

Can we get more details about the albums?

A.Of course! The albums are entirely bespoke, made just for you. I design them myself and will send you a proof before I place the order with my supplier, and if there's any changes you'd like to be made then we can work on that. Once the order has been submitted, the album can take up to 2-3 months to arrive, but trust me, it is worth the wait! And you'll know that you have something of true quality and beauty that was created just for you.
If you get in touch via my contact form then I can send you plenty of details about the material choices and some sample images.

**Due to Brexit (I used to order your albums from Italy) I've actually recently switched suppliers so I am still learning all the ins and outs of my new album offerings but I can assure you that they are just as stunning as the old ones!
